Prime Video has officially released the trailer for its new mystery series We Were Liars, inspired by the best-selling book by E. Lockhart. What is We Were Liars About?
The story follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman and her group of close friends, known as “the Liars”, during their summer stay on her wealthy grandfather’s private island in New England. The Sinclair family is rich, beautiful, and well-respected. But everything changes after Cadence suffers a life-altering accident. As she tries to uncover the truth, she begins to suspect that her friends and family are keeping dark secrets.

The main cast includes Emily Alyn Lind as Cadence, Shubham Maheshwari as Gat Patil, Esther McGregor as Mirren, and Joseph Zada as Johnny. Supporting cast members include Caitlin FitzGerald, Mamie Gummer, Candice King, Rahul Kohli, and David Morse.
The show is created by Julie Plec (The Vampire Diaries, Legacies) and Carina Adly MacKenzie (Roswell, New Mexico, The Originals), who also serve as executive producers.
