What Is ‘Motorheads’ About?
Set in the quiet town of Ironwood, Pennsylvania, Motorheads follows the story of two siblings, Zac and Caitlyn, who move from New York after their father disappears. Their dad, Christian Maddox, was once a local racing hero. As they settle into their new life, they begin digging into the mystery of his past — and what really happened to him.
Zac dives into the world of street racing to honor his father’s memory, challenging local racing champ Harris Bowers. Meanwhile, Caitlyn uncovers her dad’s old race car hidden in their garage and begins to unravel the secrets he left behind. Their journey becomes more intense with the return of Uncle Logan, a former NASCAR mechanic dealing with his own pain and guilt.

Who is Behind the Show?
Motorheads is created by John A. Norris, who also serves as the showrunner and executive producer. The pilot was directed by Neil Burger, known for his work on Limitless and The Illusionist. He joins other executive producers like Jason Seagraves, Ruben Fleischer, Keegan Rosenberger, and Dana Brunetti. Ryan Zaragoza acts as co-executive producer and producing director. The show is brought to life by Amazon MGM Studios.
According to the official plot, Motorheads is a story about “first love, first heartbreak, and turning the key in your first car.” Set in a worn-down, former racing town, the series follows a group of teens who bond over street racing while navigating the struggles of growing up, school life, and chasing dreams.
Motorheads will have 10 episodes in its first season and is set to premiere exclusively on Prime Video UK on May 20, 2025.
