Where Was Another Simple Favor Filmed?

The movie was mainly filmed in Capri, a stunning island off the coast of Italy. Some scenes were also shot in Rome. Director Paul Feig drew inspiration from a real event, fashion editor Giovanna Battaglia’s lavish wedding that took place in Capri back in 2016.

Feig, who has visited Capri for over 30 years with his wife, said the island has always held a special place in his heart. In an interview, he shared, “I know Capri like the back of my hand.” Though filming there came with challenges, such as tough logistics and limited access, Feig was determined to showcase the island’s beauty.

Key Filming Spots in Capri

One of the standout scenes, the wedding ceremony, was shot at Faro di Punta Carena, a working lighthouse set high above the sea. To create a dramatic aisle for Blake Lively’s character, the crew built a special deck overlooking the cliffs.

Another major scene takes place in Piazzetta di Capri, the lively central square where locals and tourists gather. This is where Stephanie follows Emily and encounters an FBI agent, adding a suspenseful twist to the story.

Capri’s Grand Hotel Quisisana, known for its historic charm and luxury, was also used for some of the film’s elegant hotel scenes. The hotel dates back to 1845 and remains one of the most iconic places to stay in Capri.

Scenes Filmed in Rome

Not all of the movie was filmed on the island. Some important moments were shot in Rome, including the glamorous wedding reception. This scene was filmed at Villa Adriana (Hadrian’s Villa), a historic site filled with ancient Roman architecture. It’s recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and adds a rich, cultural touch to the film.
