Prime Video Viewers Upset as ‘The Power’ Won’t Return for Season 2

Fans of The Power on Amazon Prime are heartbroken. The sci-fi drama, which aired in 2023, will not be coming back for a second season. Viewers say it’s “such a pity” that the show has been officially cancelled.

Toni Collette starred in the show, along with Halle Bush and Auli’i Cravalho. The first season ran for nine episodes from March to May 2023. Despite strong interest and a unique plot, Amazon Prime Video has decided not to continue the series.

TVLine’s Matt Webb Mitovich confirmed the cancellation. In response to a fan asking if Season 2 was happening, he said: “I have just confirmed that The Power is cancelled and will not be returning for a second season.”

Fans quickly reacted online. One Reddit user shared: “That sucks.
