Prime Video UK and Ireland is teaming up with All3Media’s award-winning Story Films to launch five gripping true crime documentaries. These new titles are set to premiere on Prime Video in 2025, offering viewers a fresh look into some of the most shocking crime stories in recent history.
All3Media International will handle the global distribution, bringing these powerful stories to audiences worldwide.
Each of the five documentaries dives deep into real-life crimes, blending exclusive interviews, rare footage, evidence, and new insights. From infamous killers to hidden family secrets, these films reveal the shocking truths behind each case.
Uncovering the Dark Truths Behind Real Crimes
One of the key titles, “The Honeymoon Murder: Who Killed Anni Dewani?”, investigates the tragic death of Anni Dewani, a young bride murdered during her honeymoon. The film includes exclusive conversations with Anni’s family and legal experts, as well as rare footage such as CCTV, courtroom clips, and police interviews. The story unfolds layer by layer, uncovering lies, shifting suspicions, and unanswered questions.
Another standout, “A Killer’s Confession”, follows the chilling story of Christopher Halliwell. In 2011, Halliwell admitted to killing two women and led police to their bodies. But because he wasn’t officially under arrest during his confession, the case took a shocking turn. This documentary features new interviews with detectives and the mother of one of the victims, sharing her fight for justice.
“Hunting The Yorkshire Ripper” looks back at one of the UK’s most haunting serial killer investigations. In the late 1970s, fake letters and voice recordings distracted police from catching the real killer, Peter Sutcliffe. But behind the picture of a happy family, a dark secret was hiding. As police closed in, the true story of obsession, betrayal, and murder came to light. This film includes firsthand accounts from Becky’s friends and police officers, showing how those closest to her uncovered the chilling truth.
