Coming to Prime Video UK this July, The Assassin is a gripping new action series. It tells the emotional story of a son searching for the truth from his mother, a former assassin with a deadly past.

New images have just been released, giving fans a sneak peek of the show’s leading stars Keeley Hawes and Freddie Highmore. The action-packed drama also features a strong supporting cast, adding even more excitement to this must-watch series.

What is The Assassin About?

The story centers around Julie (played by Keeley Hawes), a retired hitwoman living quietly on a remote island in Greece. Her peaceful life is interrupted when her estranged son, Edward (played by Freddie Highmore), comes to visit from England.

Edward arrives with tough questions after uncovering new details about his family history. But just as he tries to reconnect with his distant mother, danger strikes. Julie’s past catches up to her, and both mother and son are suddenly thrown into a fight for their lives. Together, they must escape the island and go on the run.
